Artsakh refutes Azerbaijani reports on downing Armenian drone

22 February 2019, 12:01 - NovostiNK
Artsakh dismisses Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s report on downing a drone belonging to the Artsakh army in the area of Aghdam on 21 February.

In a statement released on Friday, the Artsakh Defense Ministry says it has lost no unmanned aerial vehicle, while pictures of the drone published on Azerbaijani media are old.

The ministry also draws attention to the fact that Baku’s disinformation somehow coincides with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ regional visit.

“The Artsakh Armed Forces have all the abilities to safely and efficiently use all types of UAVs under its disposal.

“We assure that if necessary, we will continue using [the drones] rather purposefully just like we have used them until now,” reads the statement.
