Armenia’s Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan held a meeting with EU Ambassador to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin, his office said in a statement.
They discussed developments in the human rights field, in particular in the sphere of freedom of expression, freedom of media and information, judiciary, as well as issues related to the rights of persons with disabilities, women and children.
"Ambassador Wiktorin praised the excellent collaboration with Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan, highlighting the role of the institution in the protection of human rights in the country,” the statement said.
Tatoyan also thanked the European diplomat for constant support to the ombudsman’s institution and trust.
