Azerbaijan resumes firing at Armenian positions; three confirmed wounded

The Azerbaijani military resumed firing at Armenian combat positions in Gegharkunik Province on Tuesday, at around 5:30pm, the Defense Ministry reported.

Earlier an Armenian serviceman was inured as a result of the Azerbaijani fire targeting Armenian positions near the village of Verin Shorzha.

Azerbaijani forces are also using artillery and drones, the ministry said.

“The Armenian side has taken retaliatory measures. The firefight continues as of 6։30pm,” it noted.

The data on the casualties from the Armenian side are being clarified. Three soldiers have been confirmed wounded.

The Defense Ministry promised to provide updates on the situation.
