Armenia appoints new ambassador to Israel

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on Tuesday signed a decree to appoint Arman Hakobyan as the country's new ambassador to Israel with residence in Tel Aviv, the official website of the president reported.

Hakobyan served as Armenian ambassador to Brazil, Colombia and Bolivia until November this year.

Previously, he also headed the Department of American Countries at the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
