6 December 2020, 12:20 - NovostiNK
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has sent rescuers—including cynologists, mountain rescuers, communication specialists, and psychologists—to Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] on board a special flight Sunday morning from Moscow, RIA Novosti reported, citing the Russian MES press service.

"The entire departing unit has been tested for COVID-19," the respective statement also said.

Also, the cargo planes will transport three passenger buses as well as the necessary machinery and equipment.

The respective MES team continues to provide humanitarian aid to the local population in Karabakh.

In addition, about 300 children took part in the safety classes organized by the Russian MES in the capital Stepanakert schools; the participants receive knowledge and skills in providing first aid.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities— which Azerbaijan had launched on September 27—in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities
